Artist's Statement: I tried to capture the rush to finish sewing projects. Tonya a local designer and artist, imagined to work in a fashion design studio (downtown Regina). Everyone seems to work late to give finishing touches to dresses for the theatre.

Artist's Statement: The Saugeen Bruce Peninsula is made up of limestone cliffs and rocky forest and within these there are Crevices where the rock has split and a whole eco-system thrives. Filled with varieties of ferns and wild plant life, salamanders and reptiles, insects and animals, these crevices provide a plethora of subjects for my paintings.

Artist's Statement: Along the rocky Niagara Escarpment that runs along the East Coast of the Saugeen Bruce Peninsula, these rock splits, or crevices, are filled with plant life, insects and small animals. The ferns are spectacular in early fall when they turn amazing colours. Because I live among the forest and rocks here, I spend time studying and painting the crevices and wildlife it is home to. Formed thousands of years ago, the rocks hold an energy which is both amazing and very personal to me. This painting is one of a series Ive made on the Escarpment Crevice formations.

Ordinary “slices of life” are other choices for subject matter. My use of high- keyed colour and dramatic light are the trademarks of my work. A recent exhibit of my work covered paintings ranging in a variety of subject matter, from Architecture, to landscape, to still life. The “passion”that I hope to convey through colour, design and light are the essence of my work. My objective could be summarized by the following passage: "My visions encompass my views of the world and will aim to give the viewer a glimpse into this world. If this relationship occurs then the painting has been successful."
